Payment & Payout Policy

How customer payments, Kominote fees, seller earnings, and payouts are handled
1. Payment Processing
Kominote uses or intends to use qualified marketplace payment providers to process customer payments and seller/provider payouts. Users may be required to complete identity, tax, bank, or compliance onboarding directly with the payment provider.
2. Customer Charges
Customer totals may include the product or service price, shipping, applicable taxes, disclosed Kominote buyer fees, and discounts. All charges should be shown before payment confirmation.
3. Kominote Platform Fees
Kominote may deduct marketplace or service fees automatically from transactions. Standard launch pricing is intended to be 6% seller + 2% buyer for products and 8% provider + 3% buyer for services, subject to the live fee schedule disclosed by the Platform. A configurable minimum fee may apply.
4. Non-Refundable Fees
Kominote platform, marketplace, and service fees are non-refundable by default, except where required by applicable law or expressly authorized by Kominote.
5. Seller and Provider Earnings
Seller/provider earnings are calculated separately from customer charges. Earnings may be reduced by applicable Kominote fees, payment-processing costs, refunds, chargebacks, dispute adjustments, taxes, or other disclosed adjustments.
6. Earnings Status
Earnings may appear as Pending, Held, Available, Paid, Reversed, or Adjusted. Successful customer payment does not necessarily mean funds are immediately available for payout.
7. Payout Eligibility
For products, payout eligibility may consider fulfillment, shipping, delivery, dispute windows, fraud review, and other settlement conditions. For services, payout eligibility may consider booking completion, dispute conditions, fraud review, and other settlement requirements.
8. Payout Holds
Kominote or its payment provider may reasonably delay payouts for fraud review, chargebacks, disputes, verification, suspicious transactions, fulfillment issues, security concerns, legal obligations, or policy violations.
9. Failed Payouts
If a payout fails, the amount may remain associated with the seller/provider balance until eligible payment information is corrected or the issue is otherwise resolved.
10. Refunds, Chargebacks, and Reversals
Refunds, chargebacks, payment disputes, fraudulent transactions, or payment-provider actions may result in adjustments, reversals, or negative balances where permitted by applicable agreements and law.
11. No Escrow Representation
Pending earnings are not described as legal escrow unless Kominote expressly establishes and discloses an authorized escrow arrangement.
12. Currency and Conversion
Kominote may support multiple currencies over time. Currency conversion rates, foreign-exchange fees, cross-border fees, and availability depend on the payment provider and jurisdiction.
